The system works by utilizing gravity separation and density differences — oil, being the lightest, rises to the top; water settles in the middle layer; and solids sink to the bottom. Internal baffles, weirs, and coalescing plates enhance separation efficiency, ensuring minimal cross-contamination between phases.
